Looking Snazzy

I think the last time I wore a full-length gown was my senior prom (sorry, no photo link to that at the moment).

So when one of my friends invited me to be his guest at the annual corporate audit staff dinner dance to be hosted in Baltimore, I decided to spiff it up a bit and go for a long dress.

Where to find a dress that would be suitable for a black-tie outing and then useful for future events? Believe it or not, everyone's favorite online arts and crafts and vintage site, Etsy!

After a bit of browsing, I came upon the Coralie Beatrix shop which provided me with a difficult choice between beautiful colors, but I eventually went with her vintage Athena gold option. I absolutely love the dress and it's great how many different ways I can style it.

Getting back to a recap of the event weekend, it was a great 24 hours spent with work and college friends...introducing both groups to enjoyable local venues like Daily Grind, Pub Dog, Alexander's Tavern and Ze Mean Bean. The work friends, newbies to Baltimore, were glad to see that the city isn't all completely like The Wire, although none were quite fond of Old Bay in their Bloody Marys, omelettes, breakfast potatoes...everything essentially, we were after all in Maryland :)
